Award for outstanding researchers in the field of ophthalmic pathology.

Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft (DOG- German Ophthalmological Society) is the scientific association of ophthalmology in Germany that promotes scientific progress in ophthalmology to transfer acknowledged findings into the daily routine in clinics and physicians’ practices. DOG supports scientific projects and studies, organizes congresses and publishes scientific journals.

The Ophthalmic Pathology Award (Ophthalmic Pathology Award der Naumann Stiftung) is awarded every four years to encourage scientists and researchers working in the field of ophthalmic pathology with clinical focus (‘Ophthalmic Pathology, Imaging and Disease Mechanisms’).

The award is supported by Gottfried und Lieselotte Naumann-Stiftung.
