Funding for researchers in Ireland to support collaborative research on disinformation.
The Royal Irish Academy (RIA) is an independent forum of peer-elected academic experts that champions Irish research in the sciences and humanities. As well as leading national research projects and providing research grants, it supports scholarly excellence, publishes books and journals, and promotes awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society.
As part of commitments made under the Government of Ireland’s National Counter Disinformation Strategy, the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport will support collaborative research on disinformation.
The Disinformation Research Grant programme, administered by the RIA, will support collaborative or cross-disciplinary research in any relevant area of the arts, humanities, social sciences or other sciences on different aspects of disinformation, involving research across multiple disciplines, institutions and networks including civil society organisations.
