Robotics for a More Resilient Future – IUK Competitions Now Open
Innovate UK (IUK) is investing in R&D projects to advance or develop solutions for a more resilient future in service robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies made in the UK.
IUK is looking for robotic solutions that exploit business opportunities in areas such as healthcare; logistics; warehousing and transportation; agriculture and food production; construction; ‘general-purpose’ remote working; and robotics that can contribute towards the UK’s Net-Zero greenhouse gas commitment.
IUK is running two strands to this competition at the same time:
Robotics for a More Resilient Future (R&D)
Robotics for a More Resilient Future (Feasibility studies)
Up to £6 million has been allocated to fund innovation projects across both strands. Feasibility projects must have total eligible costs between £25,000 and £100,000. R&D projects must have total eligible costs between £75,000 and £500,000.
The feasibility studies competition is open to single (business) applicants only. For the R&D strand, the project lead should usually be a UK business of any size, collaborating with other UK businesses, academic institutions and research and technology organisations.
Applications must be submitted by the deadline of 20 November 2020 (11:00 GMT).
