Up to €40,000 Available in the Fondation Pour l’Audition Society Prizes for Auditory Research
Three prize categories are offered: Innovation, Impact and Jury’s Favourite.
The Fondation Pour l’Audition (FPA) is a French public-interest foundation that seeks to promote scientific progress, provide new solutions and offer new hope to people impacted by hearing loss.
The Foundation’s Society Awards aim to reward promising initiatives in the fields of hearing risk prevention and the inclusion of deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing-impaired people, which demonstrate strong potential for innovation in the face of everyday challenges.
For the 2027 edition, the Society Awards are structured around three categories, which aim to recognise concrete projects that bring about change and demonstrate maturity:
- An Innovation category, which rewards a project with strong innovative potential, which must align with the annual theme defined by the Foundation. For the 2027 call for applications, the theme is Youth Education. Innovation may focus on the approach, use, model, method, or the project’s ability to address an unmet need.
- An Impact category, which rewards an approach with high impact potential responding to a daily challenge of deaf, hard of hearing or hearing impaired people or to a challenge related to hearing health prevention (all themes are eligible).
- A Jury’s Favourite category, which rewards an original and innovative approach that addresses a challenge related to hearing health prevention or the daily lives of people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a hearing impairment. Candidates for this prize do not submit their application directly for this category. Instead, they are selected from among the non-winning candidates in the Innovation and Impact categories.
Eligible candidates are any organisations based in France. This includes, but is not limited to, start-ups, private businesses, public organisations or administrations.
